Art Show Schedule & Gallery Exhibits

Where to Experience John Harden’s Work in Person

While John Harden Design is rooted in Grants Pass, Oregon, John's handcrafted woodturnings and furniture can be found at fine art shows, juried craft fairs, and galleries throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Each event is an opportunity to explore his work up close, see the details that can’t be captured in photos, and speak directly with the artist behind the pieces.

John’s work consistently draws interest from collectors, designers, and lovers of fine craftsmanship. Whether you’re new to wood art or a longtime collector, visiting an exhibit in person offers a richer, more tactile connection to his work.

What to Expect at a Show

Each show booth is carefully curated with a fresh selection of handcrafted pieces. You’ll often find:

  • Signature Dizzy Bowls and Shadowbox Bowls

  • Functional turned bowls and trays

  • Decorative vases and hollow forms

  • Bowl butter and care kits

  • Handmade coasters, ornaments, and 3D trays

  • Custom urns

How to Stay Updated on Shows & Exhibits

To stay informed about upcoming events, new gallery installations, and first-access opportunities:

  • Join the mailing list – Get notifications about upcoming shows and seasonal releases

  • Follow on Facebook and Instagram – See behind-the-scenes footage, new releases, and booth setup previews

  • Visit the Blog – Event recaps, travel logs, and updates from the road will be posted regularly

Because most of John’s pieces are one-of-a-kind, they often sell quickly at shows. If you see a piece you love online, attending in person may be your only opportunity to purchase it before it’s gone.

Where to Find John Harden Design

John doesn’t just create from his Oregon workshop—he also travels throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond to participate in juried art shows, woodworking expos, and gallery exhibits. His pieces can be found in fine art galleries, collector showcases, and seasonal craft events.

A Note on Availability and Limited Editions

Due to the handcrafted nature of John Harden Design, inventory at shows and galleries is always limited. Every piece is designed and created by John himself—no mass production, no outsourcing, and no duplicates. Once a piece is sold, it’s gone.

Some signature works, like the Dizzy Bowl, are made in numbered limited editions. These pieces are often reserved or sold during the first few hours of a show. If you are seeking a specific form or wood type, it’s strongly recommended that you:

  1. Attend early on the first day of the event

  2. Contact John ahead of time to discuss a commission

  3. Join the mailing list for early previews and private sales
